Alder: Reduces swelling and prevents infection when chewed and applied to a wound. May also be chewed by a character with a toothache to reduce pain, swelling, and aid in preventing complications.

Alfalfa: Used to prevent tooth decay.

Aloe Vera: Use the gel inside of leaves to cure skin problems or burns. (DS)

Ash ( Tree ): New shoots are to be eaten, and chewed and applied to snake bites to help stave off the effects of its venom. Keys ( seeds ) of the Ash tree may also be consumed to fight the pain caused by a stitch in the side.

Banana Yucca: Has anti-inflammitory properties, which make it a great treatment for arthritis. Also helps with heartburn, and vomitting. Warning! The roots can be potentially toxic (DS)

Borage: Leaves and Roots should be consumed to stave off fevers. Seeds and leaves should be consumed by the nursing character to increase available milk. Borage should never be used dried, only green.

Bramble Twigs: Chewing the twigs into a fine syrup helps with sleep.

Brazilian Ginseng: Is an aphrodisiac, energizer, stimulant, and has healing properties. Also helps enhance the immune system and helps the body fight disease (RN)

Burdock: Leaves may be made into a salve and applied to wounds that are clear of infection to speed healing. Roots may also be made into a salve to draw infection from the wounds.

Black Willow: The leaves are to be consumed to reduce pain and swelling as it contains a natural aspirin. The leaves must be consumed for this to work.

Black Cohosh: Roots are chewed and used to reduces mucus production, aid in birth, and is helpful with snakebites. It also relieves pain. Do not use during pregnancy as it has the potential to cause miscarriages.

Canellila: Helps with ovarian cysts. Also thought to help improve the likelihood of conception. (RN)

Catnip: Leaves and Flowers can be used to relieve congestion and coughs.

Celdine: Used to strengthen weak eyes

Chamomile: Leaves and Flowers may be consumed to sooth a character and add to their physical strength.

Comfrey: Used when healing broken bones

Cordoncillo: Useful as an anesthetic for wounds, injuries and sicknesses. Chewing the leaf, or rubbing it on the wound will cause numbness. (RN)

Deathberry ( Nightshade ): Berries, or any other part of the plant, when consumed will kill the creature who swallows if they are not given immediate help. Even then there is a chance of death. Roots and leaves may be chewed together and applied to sore places, but must NEVER be applied to open wounds. Though parts of it may be used for healing, much of the plant is toxic. Must be used with caution!.

Echinacea: Used to ease and prevent infection.

Fever: Leaves can be used to reduce fever, in addition to being consumed to aid against colds and stomach ailments.

Ginger: Roots are chewed to soothe the stomach and reduce fever.

Ginseng: Roots are chewed to help a character that may have a lack of energy. Ginseng is also used to help reduce stress

Globe Mallow: Has soothing properties. Helps with snakebites, sores and wounds. Tea from this plant can help with upset stomachs, coughs, and constipation. (DS)

Goldenseal: Roots can be used at first sign of symptoms to stop colds, flu, or sore throat from developing. Do not use for extended amount of time or if pregnant.

Honey: Used to soothe the throat. Particularly good for smoke inhalation.

Helonia: Chewing the roots will help to prevent miscarriages in pregnancy.

Horsetail: Stems are good to turn into a poultice to ease inflammation, muscle cramps, and to slow the bleeding of a wound. It also aids in speeding up the healing of a wound.

Juniper: Berries ease the stomach and can serve as a counter-poison. Leaves are used to ease coughs and other respiratory problems.

Kava: By chewing the roots, this plant is used mostly to relax the character. It is commonly used for depression and anxiety. It can cause drowsiness in some characters though.

Lavender: Leaves and flowers are particularly good when eaten for easing pains in head and throat. Inhaling the scent of fresh flowers can also calm the nerves.

Marigold: Leaves and Flowers should be consumed to relieve chills. Leaves and Petals can be made into a salve and placed on wounds to prevent infection.

Mouse Bile: Bile from the liver of the common mouse may be harvested and used to kill stubborn fleas and ticks.

Mustard: The seeds are to be ground up into a paste and placed externally upon the character to reduce chest congestion, inflammation to injuries and joint pain.

Nettle: The flowers, leaves, and roots of this plant can be consumed or made into a paste to alleviate pain and congestion.

Poppy ( Wild ): Seeds can be consumed to remove pain and aid is sleep. Flower heads should be consumed together to relieve continuous coughs. Petals and Leaves should be chewed to aid in sleep and improve resting.

Prickly Pear: While the fruit is delicious, the rest of the plant has healing properties. The stems are useful for backaches, and diarrhea. Also acts as a diuretic. (DS)

Pusangade Motelo: Increases happiness. Also helps reduce anxiety and has a calming affect. (RN)

Peppermint: By eating this plant, the stomach is soothed and allows for the character to enhance their appetite. It also helps to alleviate headaches.

Sage: Eating the leaves of a sage plant helps reduce milk production in nursing females during weaning.

Shapumvilla: Works as a coagulent and helps stop bleeding. (RN)

Skullcap: Aids sleep and takes edge off of headaches. It can also be used to calm a character's muscles.

Slippery Elm: By chewing the inner bark of the elm tree until the water stops flowing, this will treat colds, flus, and sore throats.

Sodo: This plant is useful in helping cure all sorts of addictions including alcoholism. (RN)

Tansy: Leaves, flowers, and stems should be eaten together to remove worms. Leaves may be chewed to relieve joint aches. Flowers should be consumed to remove coughs. Pregnant females should NEVER be given Tansy, for it causes miscarriages.

Thyme: Should be consumed to calm the anxious character, or to aid in restful sleep.

Wasai: Improves kidney function and acts as a diuretic. (RN)

Water Mint: Used to help cure bellyaches.

Willow Tree: Water from beneath the bark of the flowering willow may be dripped into the eyes to help clear blurriness of vision. It may also be applied to dry patches of skin to sooth itches. Small amounts of Willow Bark may be consumed to ease pain, act against inflammation, and to ease diarrhea or fevers.

Yarrow: Entire plant should be consumed to induce vomiting. Entire plant should be chewed and applied to wounds to relieve pain and prevent infection.

Yew: Helps to make a character vomit up poisons.
