On LOA you can create herds/guilds/groups/etc for your characters. While characters in these groups will not be considered in an official alliance, it gives them a sense of security and belonging.

Groups Can:

• Can encompass many things such as a guild for artesians, assassins, ect; include a nomadic tribe or herd, be a travelling circus/entertainment group, etc.
• Have their own set of rules (as long as they adhere to site-wide rules).
• Have their own hierarchy.
• Be challenged for by other group members every 90 days (the challenger must be a member of the group for a minimum of 30 days and have posted 5 times within the group before challenging).
• Groups can transfer ownership or be deleted if no one wants to run or take over the group anymore.

Groups Will:

• Provide a sense of security for nomadic characters while still allowing them to join official alliances if the group allows.
• Include a sub-board in any land they desire.
• Characters can join multiple groups if it is not against group rules.
• If the group is nomadic, but characters within the group wish to include group posts elsewhere, they may state at the beginning of the thread (at the top of the post) or in the thread title where the thread is being held.

Requirements for creating a group:

• The member starting the group must have been an active member of LOA for a minimum of 30 days.
• The member starting the group must have at least 20 posts between all their characters.
• The character starting the group must have at least a minimum of 5 IC posts.
• Members may only create a group every 90 days with a maximum of 3 groups per member and 1 group per character.
• Groups need a minimum of 3 characters recruited IC before the group can be established. All characters within the group must be played by different members in order to count towards the total to establish the group.
• Groups need to have a minimum of 5 posts a month to be considered active.
• If a group is inactive for more than 60 days, the owner will receive a pm, and if not fixed within 1 week, the group will be deleted.
